A Home Base in the Bush
The stained glass window pictured above, a gift from friends in Minnesota and New York, is above the front doors of Eagles Wings of the main Guesthouse and home of Deb Snell. The African fish eagle soars above Lake Naivasha, with Mt. Longonot in the background, all of which you can see from the deck overlooking the Loldia Plains below, home to impala, warthog, eland, zebra, cape buffalo, jackals, and an occasional leopard. Lake Naivasha has over 400 varieties of birds, and many of them visit our feeders! Eagles Wings Guesthouses - a place of peace, rest and adventure.
But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles,
they shall run and not be weary,
they shall walk and not faint.
ISAIAH 40:31

The SettingEagles Wings is within Green Park, and rests on 5 acres of land in the bush high above Lake Naivasha. The plains below the deck look over Loldia,with stunning views of the Mau, Eburru hills, Mt. Longonot and the Aberdares. It is 55 miles northwest of Nairobi on the trans-Africa highway from Mombassa to Uganda. Leaving the main road, it rolls past large farms and the Masai Gorge on a recently tarmacked road to the main gate of the Great Rift Valley Lodge and Golf Resort. This is the only entrance to the resident area called Green Park, so security is excellent for Eagles Wings. Leaving the main gate, you pass through a barrier into the bush area at the base of the Eburru Hills, and you are at Eagles Wings. From here there are many activities around the lake and great hiking in the hills.
The Golf Resort and Lodge provides our visitors with options of golf, horseback riding, swimming, and an Adventurers Club for youngsters, mountain bike rentals, and star gazing. It also has two restaurants. |
